Teresa obtained her first degree in Government with Emphasis in legal Studies Major with a minor in English from TWU in 2001. Later that year she returned to school to receive a paralegal certificate from Southeastern Paralegal Institute. She also started working for her Mentor at that time. In 2002, the man of Teresa’s dreams came back into her life and in 2004 she married him. After marrying her husband, she went back to school for a second degree in English Lit in hopes to get into law school. As they have had moved around the country her dreams changed and her writing became her passion more than the law did and she once again went back to school this time obtaining a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.
Teresa Crumpton grew up in Cincinnati and Dallas/Ft. Worth, making her a hybrid midwest and southern girl. She has five siblings (all half or step), which always makes for a boisterous Christmas while traveling. She started writing when she was young, never thinking one day she'd turn her passion into a career.

For as long as I can remember, my writing and passion for law has gone hand and hand. You can see this in my upcoming novel, Her Legacy. Her Legacy is the place where I can join my love of writing with my love of law. The main character is a pre-law student and she is surrounded by district attorneys and quite an assortment of law enforcement agents. But this won’t help her much when she’s dealing with her family legacy, a haunted house with a thirst for blood. She will need to prove herself to the house before it’s too late. With ghosts, demons, and a good dose of romance, it was so much fun to write!
Her Legacy is almost ready for release and it feels both wonderful and scary all rolled into one. In some ways I'm not sure what life will be like not working on Her Legacy once it’s released, but on the flip side of that I have so many more stories to tell.
I can't wait to share Legacy and everything that follows with you.
